Job description

Congressman Pallone Campaign Internship


Frank Pallone Jr. is the Democratic Congressman representing New Jersey’s 6th District, which includes portions of Middlesex and Monmouth counties. A 19-term Congressman and Ranking Member of the House Energy and Commerce Committee, Congressman Pallone is seeking reelection in the November general election. We are seeking motivated, politically engaged, and self-directed interns to support the campaign’s general election efforts and help ensure Congressman Pallone’s continued service in Congress.


Time Requirements

  • Internship lasts through the November 3rd election
  • (Remote) Approximately 6-10 hours of work weekly
  • (In office) Approximately 15-20 hours of work weekly
  • (Hybrid) Approximately 10-20 hours of work weekly


Weekly Schedule

  • Check in for daily assignments through Zoom or in person at 1pm.
  • Interns must commit to at least three weekly phonebanking sessions.
  • Every session lasts 2 hours, totaling a 6-hour weekly minimum.
  • Weekend door knocking throughout the district.


Functions

  • Staffing campaign events and other activities alongside elected officials and political figures.
  • Canvassing throughout the District, including knocking on doors, distributing campaign literature, and engaging with voters at community events, grocery stores, parks, and other public locations. 
  • Assisting with the planning and creation of content for campaign social media, including developing graphics and other digital materials.
  • Conducting opposition research, power mapping, and gathering relevant political information to support campaign strategy and outreach efforts.
  • Assisting with the planning and execution of campaign events that provide opportunities for Congressman Pallone to engage directly with voters and community members.


A Great Opportunity

Through this internship, you will gain hands-on experience in New Jersey politics and the 2026 midterm elections while learning about congressional campaigns. The experience will be great exposure to Congress and could lead to potential internship opportunities in the Congressman’s district or Washington, D.C. offices.
