Job description

Nuevo Field Campaigns is hiring Paid Canvassers to engage voters and communities through direct voter contact programs supporting Democratic campaigns, advocacy organizations, labor unions, and issue-based initiatives.We are looking for outgoing, driven individuals who are passionate about community engagement and making a meaningful impact. If you enjoy talking with people, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and want to help build stronger communities through grassroots organizing, we'd love to hear from you.We are hiring Canvassers at the rate of $25 per hour. Full-time canvassers completing 40 hours a week will also receive a $125/week health stipend (=$28/hr approx equivalent). Canvassers must be able to commit to at least six 4-hour shifts per week. This position is ideal for individuals with experience in canvassing, customer service, sales, organizing, or community outreach. Previous political experience is helpful but not required.ResponsibilitiesSuccessfully complete all required onboarding and training.Conduct door-to-door voter outreach using campaign messaging and voter engagement scripts.Engage community members through canvassing, phone banking, text messaging, and event outreach as assigned.Educate voters on candidates, issues, ballot initiatives, or advocacy campaigns while encouraging civic participation.Accurately record voter interactions using mobile devices and field reporting applications.Meet daily voter contact and quality goals established by program leadership.Participate in regular team meetings, trainings, and coaching sessions.Complete daily reports and maintain accurate records of voter contact activities.Represent Nuevo Field Campaigns and our clients with professionalism, integrity, and respect at all times.QualificationsExperience working with the public through customer service, hospitality, retail, sales, community outreach, education, or social services is preferred.Previous canvassing or organizing experience is a plus but not required. Paid training is provided.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Comfortable engaging with diverse communities and having conversations with voters.Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment.Ability to meet daily performance goals.Comfortable walking and standing for extended periods while canvassing.Ability to carry campaign materials weighing up to 15 pounds.Must be able to use a smartphone or tablet and learn field reporting software.Reliable transportation to assigned staging locations.Ability to work evenings and weekends as program schedules require.Bilingual English/Spanish or other language proficiency is a plus.Requirements18+ years oldBilingual - Spanish preferredAuthorized to work in the United StatesSmartphone required with access to data usageHas access to reliable transportationAvailable 12+ hours a weekWork LocationField Organizers work primarily in the communities they are assigned to engage.
