Position Information
Job Title Enrollment Management Student Assistant Position Summary
The Enrollment Management Student Assistant serves as a vital member of the university community, providing essential student and visitor support at the front desk in O'Neal Sells Hall. This role involves welcoming and assisting students, faculty, staff, and visitors with inquiries, information, and services. The Student Assistant plays a key role in maintaining a positive and inclusive atmosphere within the administrative building, contributing to a seamless and efficient operation.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Provide prompt, friendly service to all customers (students, staff, faculty, alumni, visitors. etc.).
Act as an information source about the department, the University, and the administrative building.
Answer phone calls to main Enrollment Management line, and serves as a backup to the main university line.
Accurately direct calls and visitors to the proper location.
Assist with clerical level tasks, such as sorting and packing mail, write notecards, call students as part of a call campaign, etc. 
Participate in student leadership trainings and meetings as required.
Adhere to university policies and guidelines.
Other duties as assigned.
Education, Certifications and/or Licenses
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
Some college preferred.
Experience
Customer service experience preferred.
Experience in a higher education setting preferred.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
The ability to relate to customers in a professional and courteous manner.
Knowledge of standard office practices and procedures, including filing.
Basic computer and telephone skills. 
Experience in managing a workload including multiple projects and production schedules required.
Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure and to consistently meet deadlines while maintaining a high attention for details.
Ability to plan, prioritize tasks and meet deadlines while working on multiple tasks.
Ability to work individually and within a team environment.
