Newark Day Nursery and Children's Center (NDNCC) is a NAEYC accredited childcare center. Our mission is to education all children regardless of household income.
We are looking for a Summer Camp Director to oversee the daily operations of our summer program. Youll lead a team of enthusiastic staff, and ensure a safe, structured, and FUN environment for all campers.
Schedule:
This is a seasonal position. Dates needed: June 8 - August 10 (9-week period).
We are willing to be flexible on dates for the right candidate!
Monday Friday schedule, with flexibility for field trips and changing needs
What Youll Be Doing:
Implementing a fun, age-appropriate summer camp program
Supervising and supporting camp staff
Managing daily schedules, field trips, and special guests
Ensuring compliance with safety and licensing requirements
Communicating with families and providing program updates
Handling day-to-day operations with positivity and professionalism
Were Looking for Someone Who:
Has a Bachelor's degree with a background in Education
Has experience in camp leadership and working with school-aged children
Is highly organized, energetic, and creative
Has strong leadership and team management skills
Communicates clearly with staff, children, and families
Meets state licensing requirements
