Summer Camp Driver

SUMMER 2026 CAMP JOBS: MALE SKATEBOARDING INSTRUCTOR + FEMALE CAMP DRIVER
Long Lake Camp Adventures – Adirondack Mountains, New York

Want to spend your summer in the mountains, live at an overnight adventure camp, work with kids, and be part of an insanely fun staff community?

Long Lake Camp Adventures is hiring for two final Summer 2026 positions:

• Male Skateboarding Instructor / Cabin Counselor
• Female Camp Driver / Support Staff

We are an overnight adventure camp for campers ages 7–16 located in the beautiful Adirondack Mountains of Upstate New York. Campers build their own daily schedules and choose from activities like skateboarding, high ropes, climbing, paintball, automotive, woodworking, waterfront, hiking, parkour, blacksmithing, robotics, campfires, trips, and much more.

No two days are the same at Long Lake.

POSITION 1: MALE SKATEBOARDING INSTRUCTOR / CABIN COUNSELOR

We are looking for a male skateboarding instructor who is excited to teach kids, live in a camper bunk, and be part of the full camp experience.

This is not just a skateboarding job. You will spend part of your day teaching skateboarding and helping campers build skills, confidence, balance, control, and style. The rest of your day will be spent living and working with campers alongside your co-counselors.

Responsibilities include:
• Teaching beginner and intermediate skateboarding
• Helping campers progress safely and confidently
• Supervising the skate area
• Encouraging kids of all skill levels
• Living in a bunk with campers
• Helping with meals, evening activities, trips, and daily camp life
• Being flexible and jumping into other adventure activities when needed

This is a great fit for someone who loves skating, enjoys working with kids, has energy, and wants a summer that is active, social, challenging, and unforgettable.

POSITION 2: FEMALE CAMP DRIVER / SUPPORT STAFF

We are also looking for a female camp driver who does not live in a camper bunk.

This role is perfect for someone responsible, flexible, calm under pressure, and comfortable driving normal vehicles including cars, SUVs, and minivans.

Responsibilities may include:
• Driving campers to doctor appointments
• Supply runs
• Airport or travel support when needed
• Helping with camp trips
• Driving to hikes, outings, and local activities
• Supporting the office, leadership team, and general camp operations
• Joining camp trips and hikes when you want to
• Helping wherever needed around camp

This position is still very much part of camp life, but without the responsibility of living in a camper cabin.

WHAT BOTH POSITIONS INCLUDE

• Free housing
• 3 meals a day
• Summer salary
• 1 day off per week
• Access to tons of camp activities
• Waterfront, hiking, ropes, climbing, campfires, staff events, and more
• A fun, international staff community
• A summer in the Adirondack Mountains
• The chance to make a real impact on kids’ lives

THE REALITY OF CAMP

Camp is not a vacation. The days are long, the work is demanding, and kids can be challenging.

But if you bring energy, patience, flexibility, and a good attitude, it can easily become one of the most meaningful and unforgettable summers of your life.

June 15th – August 26th, 2026
