Job description

Our client is seeking a Camera Video Quality Engineer to help deliver exceptional video quality across a portfolio of advanced consumer devices. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys combining hands-on lab testing, real-world video capture, technical analysis, and automation. You will work with a fast-paced, collaborative engineering team and directly influence the camera experience used by customers around the world.Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute camera video quality test models.
  • Conduct laboratory and real-world video quality testing across mobile devices and benchmark performance against competitive products.
  • Capture real-world video content for quality verification.
  • Identify image quality (IQ) issues and perform initial analysis and triage.
  • Participate in IQ evaluations for new features and algorithms, providing actionable feedback to engineering teams.
  • Analyze, reproduce, and isolate video quality issues across lab and real-world environments.

Requirements

  • Experience with subjective and objective image quality evaluation.
  • Understanding of image signal processor (ISP) pipelines and 3A evaluation, including auto exposure (AE), auto focus (AF), and auto white balance (AWB).
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to stay current on camera benchmarking results and testing methodologies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally.
  • Proficiency in Python or C/C++ is preferred.
  • Strong video photography skills are preferred.

Education

Bachelor s degree in Image Science, Color Science, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.

Location: Cupertino, CA

Duration: 6 months +

Salary Range: $40 - $45 DOE
