Maintenance Technician

Location: Greensboro, NC

Position Type: Maintenance Technician

Overview: 

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the general preventive maintenance in our production areas, warehouse, and offices. May also be required to perform product handler and forklift operator duties; promote and implement the company's core values and excellence in customer service; responsible for maintaining strong relationships with internal customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Performs general maintenance and inspection on equipment for warehouse such as conveyor systems, sortation systems, Lift tables, scanners, forklifts, pallet jacks, handcarts, safety harnesses, etc.
  • Troubleshoot and perform routine maintenance, installation, and repairs on a variety of building systems and appliances, manufacturing equipment, including, plumbing, HVAC, painting, carpentry, and electrical.
  • Apply proficient skills in two or more of the following trades: electrical, carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, painting, etc. to ensure quality maintained facilities and equipment.
  • Subject to on-call coverage shift changes
  • Participate in routine inspections (including QC, preventative maintenance, machinery, etc.).
  • Perform general maintenance and cleaning of common areas, office areas, maintenance shop, warehouse, etc.
  • Demonstrate the appropriate and safe use of standard hand and power tools, equipment, and machinery.
  • Comply with all OSHA safety regulations, local applicable laws regarding health, safety, or environment
  • Understand and follow safe work practices for all trades, including but not limited to: Lockout Tag-out, Confined Space Entry, use of hazardous chemicals, use of Personal Protective Equipment, Ladder Safety, and working from Elevated Surfaces.
  • Move inventory to various locations manually and by operating mechanical equipment; including forklift, pallet jack, and handcart.
  • Maintains a focus for self and team on continuous learning that will enhance skill sets and growth opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent experience
  • Advanced mechanical abilities and general facility maintenance
  • Strong Electrical and PLC Skills
  • Computer skills desired for operating warehouse management system (WMS)
  • 2-3 years of forklift experience, strongly preferred
  • 3-5  years of manufacturing field experience
