Job description

Summary Statement
The Apprentice will provide leadership to Worship and Student Ministry of Calvary en Español at Southside.

Duties and Responsibilities
Essential:

  1. Provide leadership to the Worship and Student Ministry.
  2. Develops and implement the structure and facilitate a meaningful, relevant, and biblical Sunday worship experience.
  3. Manage and coordinates special events and musical plays and presentations through the year; i.e. Easter, Christmas among others.
  4. Recruit volunteers with the talent and/or the potential giftedness to become a part of the worship team and other presentations.
  5. Develop and implement a strategy to discover, develop, and positioning new people in a pathway to become instrumental players, singers, and worship leaders.
  6. Provide leadership to the Student Ministry of Calvary en Español.
  7. Develop and implement outreach strategies to mobilize the students to reach out other students.
  8. Implement and oversee a discipleship process to put every new believer in the pathway/journey to the disciple of Jesus.
  9. Help the students to find their place in Calvary en Español to become worshipers, witnesses, stewards, family members, and servants.
  10. Develop and provide opportunities to the students to participate in summer camps and mission trips.

Marginal:

  1. Be flexible at least for 2 hours weekly to engage and support others ministry duties requested by the Pastor of Calvary en Español.
  2. Fully and intentionally, follow the pathway of a disciple of Christ and assist the Pastor in the assigned duties of the discipleship ministry.
  1. Meet the qualifications of a church leader according to 1 Timothy 3:8-13.
  2. College degree in worship and/or music.
  3. 2 years as a worship leader in a local church en Español.
  4. Be proficient in Spanish and English. Ready to serve students in both languages.
  5. Willing to lead bilingual worship.
  6. Effectiveness to teach and mentor others.
  7. Demonstrates love and grace to young people.
  8. Trained or willing to be train to the best practices for a student ministry.
  9. Be a team player.
  10. Be available and flexible timewise since in ministry things and opportunities can change anytime.
  11. Be a growing disciple and example of a disciple-maker.
  12. Be intentionally active and participate in prayer and evangelism ministry.
  13. Participate in weekly staff prayer time.
  14. Volunteer as the weekly hours permits as a volunteer in Calvary events.
  15. Provide leadership to media team.
