Job description

PURPOSE:

The Customer Support Specialist provides front line support for the Customer Support function. This position is responsible for utilizing the Company’s business systems for order fulfillment. This role will interact directly with Calumet customers, Sales, Plant personnel, Accounting, Credit, Pricing and Transportation.

KEY OBJECTIVES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for timely and accurate contract data entry, back to back sales order entry & tracking, credit rebills, sulfur credit/RINs invoices, invoicing various customers, demurrage invoices and STO Order creation
  • Communicate with customers, company locations, and vendors to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Daily OPIS pricing services
  • Customer advocate bringing voice of customer insights for continual improvement
  • Investigate and resolve customer issues for corrective and preventive action
  • Represent Calumet in a professional manner and create strong partnerships through exemplary customer support
  • Provide administrative support to department as needed
  • Being proactive with customers in all aspects of service levels
  • Reconcile customer invoices and accounts receivables

REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCES:

  • 3+ years of related customer support experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment
  • Proficient computer skills with demonstrated experience in Microsoft office, order entry systems

PREFERRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCES:

  • 5+ years of business to business customer service experience
  • College degree or equivalent work experience
  • Prior experience with SAP system
  • Computer savvy with strong technical skills
