Position Title: Landscape Maintenance Crew Member

Reports To: Maintenance Supervisor

Job Overview: The Landscape Maintenance Crew Member is responsible for performing a variety of tasks to maintain the integrity and the aesthetic appeal of landscapes in accordance with Lēʻahi Landscaping’s sustainability values and practices. This position will focus on the upkeep of residential and commercial landscapes using all-electric equipment and eco-friendly techniques.

I. Scope of Work:
Maintenance of various landscapes across Oʻahu, focusing on native plant care, ecological health, and aesthetic standards.

II. General Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Conduct regular landscape maintenance tasks such as mowing, trimming, pruning, and weeding using electric-powered equipment.
2. Participate in the installation on design and installation projects, irrigation inspection and maintenance of irrigation systems.
3. Load and unload heavy equipment or landscaping materials from vehicles.
4. Apply organic fertilizers and sustainable pest control solutions, following prescribed ecological practices to minimize environmental impact.
5. Collaborate with team members to successfully maintain client accounts.
6. Support clear cutting services when necessary, prioritizing the preservation of the native ecology.
7. Maintain equipment and tools, ensuring they are in proper working condition and stored securely.
8. Report any issues or observations that might require the attention of the supervisor, contributing to continuous improvement.
9. Maintain a professional attitude and rapport with fellow team members.
10. Adhere to all safety guidelines and company policies.

III. Qualifications:
- Experience in landscaping or groundskeeping is required.
- Ability to perform physical labor and operate maintenance equipment and lift at least 75 lbs.
- Punctuality and professionalism.
- Embodies principles of equity and respect, actively opposing racism and any form of
discrimination in the workplace.
- General interest in native Hawaiian plants and ecological landscaping practices.
- Eagerness to learn and adopt sustainable landscaping techniques.

IV. Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
