Job description

Architectural Woods, a leading distributor of hardwood lumber and lumber products, is hiring a Warehouse Operator/Box truck driver at our Vancouver branch. Warehouse Operators pull customer orders from warehouse shelving with forklifts and by hand, so the ability to learn the layout of the warehouse and location of inventory items is essential. Warehouse Operator/Box Truck driver receives and makes local deliveries of material and record the receipts in our software system, so basic computer skills are necessary. Warehouse Operators also assist at the Will Call desk, so competence in customer service is required.
We are looking for a team player dedicated to filling orders accurately while providing excellent customer service. A successful candidate is able to maintain a positive attitude while taking direction and is also able to work independently, maintaining a high level of productivity without direct supervision.
Position Requirements:
  • Full time hours - 10am - 6:30pm
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Read, write and speak English
  • Basic math skills
  • Forklift experience
  • This is a safety sensitive position, and as such, applicants are subject to pre-employment drug testing to include screening for marijuana
  • Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Must be able to receive a medical certificate (company paid)
  • Ability to work overtime
  • Ability to work in covered outdoor temperatures
  • Capability to frequently lift and move product up to 75 lbs.

Position responsible for:
  • Safely operating a forklift
  • Filling orders correctly and efficiently
  • Assisting customers courteously
  • Processing accurate paperwork
  • Loading and unloading company and customer vehicles
  • Deliver product to customer with box truck
  • Maintaining a clean, organized work environment
