About the Role 

We are seeking an experienced Distribution Center Operations Manager to oversee and improve operational performance across our network of four distribution centers. This individual will provide strategic leadership for all distribution center operations, ensuring safe, efficient, and standardized processes while driving continuous improvement, productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction.
 

The ideal candidate has extensive multi-site distribution center leadership experience and a proven ability to develop teams, improve operational performance, optimize inventory accuracy, and manage budgets while partnering with Manufacturing, Purchasing, Customer Service, and Executive Leadership.


Key Responsibilities 

  • Ensure consistent execution of company policies and operational standards.
  • Build a culture of accountability, safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement. 
  • Provide operational leadership for four distribution centers. (Some travel is required.)
  • Standardize operating procedures across all facilities.
  • Lead and develop Distribution Center Managers and leadership teams.
  • Develop and manage operating budgets and identify cost reduction opportunities.
  • Improve distribution center productivity and throughput. 
  • Drive Lean, 5S, Kaizen, PDCA, Value Stream Mapping, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Develop and monitor KPIs including safety, inventory accuracy, order accuracy, productivity, labor efficiency, and customer service.
  • Ensure OSHA compliance and promote a strong safety culture.
  • Lead facility improvement and capital projects, including distribution center layout optimization and automation evaluations.
  • Partner with Manufacturing, Purchasing, Customer Service, Quality, and Executive Leadership to improve operational performance.

Requirements


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain, Business, Industrial Engineering, or related field (preferred).
  • 5+ years of warehouse or distribution leadership experience.
  • Experience managing multiple distribution centers preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory control, Lean principles, and continuous improvement.

Technical Skills

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, dashboards).
  • Experience with ERP/WMS systems (Prophet 21 experience is a plus).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
