Weโ€™re seeking a full-time Traveling Logistics/Driver with technician skills with a valid DOT medical physical who will fill a multi-faceted role with one of Trescalโ€™s specialized mobile calibration labs to include the operation and transportation from site to site. This hybrid role position provides the opportunity to travel throughout the Mid-Atlantic region. NOTE - This is not an OTR position - It is a standard 40 - 45 hour work week with comparable compensation.


Most of the out of state locations will require overnight/out of town stays while other local sites allow you to return home nightly. When not deployed, all work is local at the Irving, TX location. Accommodations are single occupancy at 4-star and above rated hotels and are coordinated in advance. A generous daily per diem rate is paid for all over-night stays. This person will also get the opportunity to work on calibrations as a technician trainee!


Responsibilities:

  • Drive the assigned Mobile Calibration Lab to various customer on-sites covering but not limited throughout the Mid-West region of the United States.
  • Manage the testing equipment for your customers by scheduling calibrations, signing in/out equipment for service, and verifying database updates.
  • Travel to customer sites, process equipment, and prepare reports/certificates.
  • Coordinate with the Mobile On-site department to schedule on-site calibration services, with a continuous altering schedule.
  • Learn fundamental calibration techniques and processes
  • Develop skills necessary to perform calibrations independently
  • Fulfill duties safely under working conditions, in keeping with Trescalโ€™s requirements and standards
Requirements:
  • High School diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a similar position involving Customer Service with administrative duties
  • Must be able to lift equipment weighing up to 50 lbs
  • Travel is required in this position - over-night and out of state. (company vehicle)
  • Strong Customer Service skills
  • Good prioritization and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication skills including written, verbal and listening
  • Valid Class A CDL driver's license and good/clean driving record

And we would prefer:

  • Previous experience working in an inventory tracking system
  • AS degree, Vocational Certification, or Military Training in a technical/electronics field
  • Prior experience managing equipment or inventory in a technical industry
  • Prior commercial driving experience
  • Experience with ISO 17025 requirements.
