Job description
The Department of Conservation (DOC) California Geologic Energy Management (CalGEM) Division is seeking to hire one Student Assistant (SA) under the supervision of the Senior Oil and Gas Engineer (Supervisor). Since the Senior Engineer is based in Sacramento HQ while the work will be in Long Beach, the SA will coordinate with the Long Beach based Associate Oil and Gas Engineer for day-to-day work. The SA will work with CalGEM data records.
Duties will include gathering, preparing, reviewing, cataloging, scanning, performing QA/QC, filing/archiving well logs, well files, maps and other CalGEM records, along with other duties relating to data improvement.
