The main difference between a Calf and a Veterinary Technician is their focus and work environment. Both roles involve animal care but differ significantly in training, setting, and industry usage.

What are calves in the context of agriculture?

Calves are young cattle, typically less than one year old, that are usually raised for beef or dairy production. They are the offspring of cows and bulls and require special care, nutrition, and housing, especially in their early weeks to ensure healthy growth and development. Farmers often focus on providing proper colostrum shortly after birth, followed by a balanced diet and regular veterinary care to prevent common diseases.
