West Coast Trial Lawyers is hiring a Legal Assistant to support our attorneys with Minor’s Compromise petitions. These filings require a high level of detail, organization, and follow-through. We're looking for someone who’s proactive, dependable, and ready to take ownership of time-sensitive tasks from start to finish.

Responsibilities

  • Drafting and preparing Minor’s Compromise petitions
  • Filing documents with the court and handling corrections or resubmissions
  • Calendaring hearings and deadlines to avoid delays or missed appearances
  • Coordinating with accounting to ensure timely release of settlement checks
  • Communicating with clients, court clerks, and other involved parties as needed
  • Assisting with urgent, last-minute filings or court communications

Requirements

  • 1+ year of legal assistant or litigation support experience (PI experience highly preferred)
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Familiarity with court filing procedures and legal calendaring
  • Comfortable working in a fast paced, deadline driven environment
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Spanish speaking is a plus but not required

Hourly Range: $18.00-$24.00
