Pastry Prep Cook Job Description:

This individual should be skilled, organized, and creative with a passion for pastry. We are looking for someone who is able to work as a team player, follow instruction well, and take pride in producing beautiful and delicious desserts. In this role, you will primarily be baking off and finishing desserts for guest orders, ensuring every item meets The Cake Bake Shop’s signature standards of quality and presentation.

The ideal candidate has exceptional attention to detail and maintains a clean, efficient, and well-organized work environment while preparing, baking, and plating pastries. We pride ourselves on our exceptional food quality and ingredients, and we expect this individual to carry out those brand standards with care and consistency.

Responsibilities of a Pastry Prep Cook:

  • Baking off and finishing desserts for guest orders.

  • Maintaining a sanitized and well-organized pastry kitchen.

  • Preparing workstations for daily production.

  • Preparing and maintaining kitchen equipment.

  • Checking the quality and freshness of ingredients.

  • Measuring, mixing, and preparing pastry components following recipes and techniques.

  • Assembling and garnishing desserts for service and presentation.

  • Performing other duties as assigned by leadership to support the overall success of the team and organization.
