Job description

Position Summary:

The casino host will have the ability to identify premier players and assist with the development in recognition and rewards programs to attract and retain these players for more frequent return visits. Responsible for a high level of guest service while hosting high limit players and driving incremental revenue to the property.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Understand Operations and multiple player rating systems.
  • Input, update and maintain accurate and complete player information into the player tracking system.
  • Provide information to guests on Cahuilla Casino Hotel promotional events.
  • Utilize the player tracking system for redemption of cash, prizes and comps within department guidelines and regulations.
  • Maintain high standards of courtesy, professionalism, and discretion in all communications to, about, or with customers including their arrangements and finances.
  • Maintain close communication with targeted guests through personal contact (telephone, email, in person, etc.) to increase brand awareness, notify of upcoming events and promotions, as well as, external functions and events to encourage trip frequency.
  • Meet and greet players on the casino floor, at special events and promotions; anticipate and respond to needs of targeted guests including arranging accommodations and amenities (shows, hotel, restaurant, transportation) to Cahuilla Casino Hotel and/or offsite events.
  • Assist guests with reservations for hotel stays and other player events.
  • Assist in compiling mailing lists and with mailing out invitations.
  • Participate and assist in marketing programs on and off property designed to recruit, reward, and retain premium players.
  • Interact on a frequent basis with high-limit slot players and high-limit table games players to build and retain VIP player loyalty; leverage property amenities/programs to targeted players.
  • Maintain the knowledge of how to utilize the knowledge obtained through building relationships and data to promote positive tier level movement with our established players.
  • Work effectively as a collaborative team member with others within Casino Marketing, Table Games, Slots, and the Food and Beverage supervisory team to identify areas of opportunity and address areas of concern when necessary.
  • Must be able and willing to work all schedules, all days and shifts. Flexibility is required.
  • Seek direction from management to investigate, evaluate, and determine the financial stability of potential customers using all reliable sources available.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management to support the efficient operation of the department.
  • Maintain current knowledge of latest industry development, current market trends, and all on-property and competitor events.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • This position will be required to obtain licensing through the Cahuilla Gaming Commission.
  • Qualified candidate/employee must have valid drivers license with an acceptable driving record as determined by Cahuilla Casino Hotel and Cahuilla Gaming Commission.
  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • Bachelors Degree in Hospitality, Marketing, or related field is highly preferred.
  • Must have a minimum of 3-5 years of experience working in a casino.
  • Supervisory or cash handling experience is preferred.
  • Must be consistent with upholding a professional image, polished appearance, and approachable demeanor.
  • Must have outstanding communication skills.
  • May be required to communicate in written form in one of the following languages: Laotian, Tagalog, Chinese, Vietnamese, Thai, Spanish.
  • Must be a self-starter, flexible, versatile and responsible.
  • Must be able to work effectively independently and when working with others.
  • Must have intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point and Access.
  • Working knowledge of theoretical data and player reinvestment is preferred.
