Job description

POSITION SUMMARY

The Marketing Representative is responsible for the duties and functions of the Players Club and executing promotions while ensuring the Skys The Limit Guest Service standards. Must be knowledgeable of and able to explain current marketing promotions, programs, explain games offered throughout the casino, hotel services and amenities.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Promotes the highest degree of guest service to both external and internal guests.
  • Actively promotes the Players Club and card level benefits to Cahuilla Casino Hotel guests through on the Casino Floor interactions.
  • Actively promotes the monthly promotions to Cahuilla Casino Hotel guests and team members.
  • Assists existing Players Club Members and processes New Member Sign Ups throughout the Casino Floor.
  • Ensure database integrity of player account information.
  • Responsible for assisting in the execution of a variety of casino events and promotions to ensure guests are receiving a favorable gaming experience and build player loyalty.
  • Confident in public speaking and ability to make overhead announcements regarding casino promotions and jackpots.
  • Ability to book hotel reservations for Players Club Members as needed.
  • Promotes good inter-department relationships through effective communication.
  • Ability to work flexible schedule including various shifts as needed, holidays, weekends and peak business times.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

  • Must have high school diploma or GED.
  • Previous guest service experience is preferred.
  • Must be able read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Strong interpersonal (verbal and written) communication skills and work ethic.
  • Solid organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Able to obtain and retain gaming license through the Cahuilla Tribal Gaming Agency.
  • Must be able to provide FHC (Food Handler's Card) and Alcohol Beverage Control certificate

While performing the essential functions of this position, the employee is occasionally exposed to outdoor weather conditions and required to move about the Casino floor and exposed to a non-smoke free environment.

Cahuilla Casino Hotel is committed to a drug and alcohol free workplace. Any job offer is conditional upon successful passing of a pre-employment drug test and must qualify for a Cahuilla Gaming License, which includes an extensive background security check.

If none of the applicants should meet the stated qualifications, applicants whose education and experience are less than the stated requirements, may be interviewed and hired provided the applicant hired submits a formal written training plan within (30) thirty days which can be completed within a reasonable time agreed upon by the supervisor and the applicant. Applicants who are hired and fail t meet the agreed upon formal training program, will be discharged upon failure to complete the specified training as so scheduled. A drug test will be required prior to employment and periodically thereafter.
