Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Cafe Manager to lead our vibrant cafe team and deliver exceptional customer experiences. In this role, you will oversee daily operations, manage staff, ensure food safety standards, and drive profitability. Your leadership will foster a welcoming atmosphere where both team members and customers feel valued. The ideal candidate is passionate about hospitality, skilled in food preparation and management, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. Duties

  • Lead daily cafe operations, ensuring smooth service during all shifts while maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency
  • Supervise and train staff on coffee, espresso, tea, customer service, POS systems (such as Square), and food safety protocols
  • Oversee inventory control, including stock ordering, storage, and waste reduction to maximize profitability
  • Manage cash handling procedures accurately and reconcile daily sales reports
  • Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure reasonable food ticket times, proper food handling, adherence to safety standards, janitorial maintenance of organics, garbage and recycling as well bathroom up keep.
  • Implement staff training programs focused on hospitality management in coffee, team leadership, and food safety management
  • Conduct performance evaluations, interview prospective team members, and foster a positive team environment

Skills

  • Extensive experience in coffee and cafe management within casual dining or quick service environments
  • Proven supervisory experience with strong team management and leadership skills
  • Proficiency in POS systems such as Square; excellent cash handling skills
  • Knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking processes, and kitchen management practices
  • Ability to perform basic math for inventory control, budgeting, and profit & loss analysis
  • Strong understanding of food safety regulations and food handling procedures
  • Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to resolve issues promptly and professionally

  • Familiarity with front facing customer engagement, coffee and espresso bar service
