Job description

We are looking to hire an experienced café manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our café. The café manager's responsibilities include processing payments using the café's Point of Sale System, making bank deposits, and ensuring that the café is clean and well-presented at all times. You should also be able to oversee the maintenance and repair of café equipment.
To be successful as a café manager, you should demonstrate exemplary management and leadership skills and ensure that the café staff carries out all duties efficiently. Ultimately, an exceptional café manager should be able to achieve excellent customer service.
OVERVIEW:
  • Welcoming customers, informing them about new items, answering questions, and accepting orders and payments.
  • The Café Team takes food and beverage orders and make coffee, tea, smoothies, milkshakes, and other items to customer specifications
  • Field customer complaints or questions both, in person and on the phone.
  • Café staff must often clean coffee machines, blenders, beverage dispensers, restaurant areas, and preparation areas during a normal shift.
  • Team members are responsible for producing our cold pressed juice program, as well as doing prep work for In-House cocktail ingredients.
  • Overall cleanliness of the cafe dining room, dry storage and cooler areas
  • Work to maintain good customer relations and speedy delivery of all beverages and other products as well as complete assigned tasks from management every day.
  • Working as part of a fun, high-energy team.
  • Adhering to all food safety regulations and quality controls.

Café/Barista Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in food and beverage preparation or customer service preferred.
  • Exceptional listening and communication skills.
  • Ability to walk, bend, and stand for extended periods.
  • Availability to work around peak hours, including nights, early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
  • A polite, engaging personality.
  • Commitment to customer satisfaction and service excellence.
  • Willingness to work as part of a high-energy, efficient team in a fast-paced environment.

Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to stand and exert fast-paced mobility for periods of up to 6 (six) hours in length.
  • Must have a good sense of balance and bend, kneel, and react swiftly to actions surrounding them.
  • Must have the ability to lift bus pans, trays, cases of food and beverage weighing as much as 30 pounds.
