Job description

Our cashiers handle sales transactions at our cafes. You will work at the front of the cafe, greeting customers walking in, answering any questions and promoting the cafe's services. Since you will regularly manage transactions, the ideal candidate should be responsible, courteous and great at math. We expect you to go above and beyond in helping our customers and providing a positive experience.

Duties:

• Welcome all guests as the enter the cafe

• Offer advice or recommendation to customers and answer any inquiries both in person and on the phone

• Operate the point of sale system to accurately ring customer orders and take payment

• Ensure accurate communication between front of house and the kitchen

• Ensure a positive customer experience

• Respond efficiently and accurately to resolve customer complaints

• Keep the front of house clean to include the dining area and busing tables

• Become a subject matter expert on our products to include, menu, bakery, and coffee

• Make sure all safe food handling practices are complied with and keep the cafe clean to our standards

• Other similar duties as needed


Skills /Qualifications:

Excellent customer service and communication skills

Ability to multitask and keep track of customer orders

Eye for detail

Previous experience as a cashier in similar settings is a positive

Must be trustworthy and able to handle customer payments



Required Certifications:

CA RBS (through ABC)

Food Handler Certificate
