Job description

Job Summary:
Caesars Entertainment is the largest casino-entertainment company in the U.S., committed to creating extraordinary experiences for guests. They are seeking a Specialist Security Engineer to design and implement enterprise-level Cybersecurity solutions, ensuring robust security controls across the organization while collaborating with various teams to mitigate security incidents.
Responsibilities:
• Implement and maintain secure and reliable security control solutions
• Position requires a strong understanding of systems, integrations, and interactions between disparate systems at the enterprise level
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues, including connectivity, performance, and security problems
• Experience with network security tools such as firewalls, intrusion prevention systems (IPS), and SSL/TLS configurations.
• Collaborate with other teams (e.g., web, threat intelligence, incident response) to investigate and mitigate security incidents
• Assisting with projects as may be required to contribute to efficiency and effectiveness of the team
• Research and evaluate new technologies and security solutions to enhance the company’s network infrastructure.
• Test and implement new security tools and technologies to address evolving threats.
• Analyze technology alternatives against business requirements to select products best meeting Caesars Entertainment needs, considering all relevant factors
• Participate in long-term strategic planning linking the overall architecture to Caesars Entertainment vision
• Enhance the relationship between Cybersecurity Infrastructure and other IT groups by demonstrating superior management of commitments and customer service. Work with others closely to ensure the effective development, implementation and ongoing operability of cross-platform applications
• Establish and document related standards and procedures required to maintain an effective corporate computing environment
• Enhance security practices, standards and procedures to ensure that critical company assets, including data, are secured
• Participate in rotating on-call 7 X 24 last-level support and perform off-hours changes
Qualifications:
Required:
• 10 years work experience in computer support, programming, operations, or related field
• 8+ years hands-on work experience in Information Security Engineering
• Requires demonstrable knowledge of security control configuration and design.
• Strong analytical, problem solving and project management skills
• Strong understanding of protocols and standards (TCP/IP, routing/switching, etc.)
• Proficiency across multiple areas of cybersecurity control solutions – endpoint protection, data protection, vulnerability management, application security, network security, etc
• Ability to work effectively independently as well as in cross-functional teams
• Able to work effectively and efficiently toward detailed goals in a complex environment with fluid priorities
• Solid organizational skills, including attention to detail and multitasking skills
Preferred:
• Industry certifications such as CISSP, CISA, CISM, GSEC, or specific vendor certification(s)
