Job description


The Security Dispatcher will attempt to provide protection from any element, factor, or situation, which may jeopardize the welfare, security, and integrity of team members, guests, their personal properties, and company assets. Security Dispatcher is an essential role within the Security Operations and will be operated as a command post, communications center and dispatching station for Security Operations and operational support.
Responsibilities
  • Receives telephone calls from other departments related to customer safety.
  • Dispatches security safety calls according to procedure via two-way radios.
  • Responsible for documenting in a timely manner, all calls received and dispatched, including any follow-ups.
  • Provides a friendly and safe environment for guests and team members while protecting company assets.
  • Greets guests and fellow team members with a friendly and sincere welcome.
  • Displays a professional, pleasant, courteous, and a respectful demeanor when communicating with guests and team members over the telephone or radio.
  • Ability to effectively perform in the areas of Data Entry for all applicable programs.
  • Ability to remain calm and professional, particularly during stressful situations, and will effectively multitask handling duties of the position to include phones, radio, monitors, camera locations and operation.
  • Maintains a watchful eye on the alarm systems, and upon activation, will immediately notify proper emergency personnel.
  • Performs all duties in accordance with Caesars Entertainment policies and procedures, and within the realm of the Caesars Entertainment mission statement.
  • Relates to guests and team members with respect, concern, and courtesy.
  • Works well with other departments and management as necessary.
  • Knowledgeable of the property floor plan and operating times of the various outlets for the purpose of giving directions and providing customers with accurate information
  • Knows where all emergency equipment exists (phones, fire extinguishers, emergency exits, defibrillators, etc.).
  • Maintains a well-groomed appearance which reflects the professional appearance and demeanor of the Security Department.
  • Meets the required attendance guidelines for the job and adhere to all company and department policies and procedures.
  • Sets an example to be a role model for all Security personnel through observance of all departmental policies and procedures.

Qualifications
  • Must be at least 21 years of age to work in a casino.
  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Personable telephone manner required.
  • Previous FCC or telephone related experience preferred
  • Prior experience is a position with direct guest contact is preferred.
  • Must possess good oral and written communication skills along with a good working knowledge of basic computer programs
  • Ability to manage several tasks at once
  • Must be able to work any day of the week
  • Good oral and written communication skills including tact when handling challenging guests; must read, write, speak, and understand English
  • Ability to maintain extremely confidential information.
  • General familiarity with investigative procedures.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work in a flexible schedule; must allow for changes in assignments, and priorities depending on identified needs of the company.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Must be able to obtain or possess a Louisiana Gaming License

Additional Requirements:
  • Must be able to maneuver throughout all areas of casino.
  • Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds and carry up to 10 pounds.
  • Must be able to bend, reach, kneel, twist and grip items while working.
  • Must be able to work indoors as well as outdoors.
  • Must be able to work at a fast pace and in stressful situations.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
  • Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues.
