The Director of Security and Risk provides strategic leadership for the Security & Risk Department, ensuring the safety and security of our guests, team members, facilities, and assets.   • College degree in law enforcement or related field is preferred.
  • Administrative, leadership, investigative, customer service and public speaking skills are required.
  • Strong oral and written skills are essential.
  • Must have three years supervisory or command experience in law enforcement or security area.
  • Must possess investigative and communication skills.
  • Must have knowledge of gaming regulations and company internal controls are preferred.
  • Must agree to a criminal history check.
  • Must possess valid Louisiana Driver's license.
  • Must be able to get along with co-workers and work as a team.
  • Must present a well-groomed appearance.

Additional Requirements:

  • Must be able to maneuver to all areas of the casino.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds and carry up to 25 pounds.  
  • Must be able to bend, reach, kneel, twist and grip items while working at assigned desk area.
  • Must be able to stoop, bend, jump, twist, crouch, grip and carry heavy loads and run on level surfaces, as well as up and down stairs.  
  • Must have the ability to listen, solve problems, negotiate, use collaboration skills and give oral and written instructions.  
  • Must be able to work at a fast pace and in stressful situations.  
  • Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
  • Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues.

Gaming Permit: KEY

  • Oversees: safeguarding of assets transported to and from Casino Tables, Slots and Cashier departments; Project 21 enforcement requiring patrons to be at least 21 years of age for admission to building and Emergency Management programs. 
  • Supervises all investigations conducted by Security personnel. 
  • Ensures the delivery of exceptional guest service by Security and Risk personnel. 
  • Responsible for the overall security of the property including, but not limited to, the following: the enforcement of the law and other rules and regulations; the physical safety of patrons and employees and the protection of patrons and company property from illegal activity; the detainment for probable cause of persons that may be involved in illegal acts for the purpose of notifying law enforcement or State authorities, in compliance with the Louisiana Gaming Act and Regulations, which prohibits cheating or swindling in gaming; the recording of any and all unusual occurrences within the property, for which an assignment of Security personnel is made. 
  • Oversees:  vehicle damage/theft complaint reports in conjunction with the Risk Management Department. 
  • Formulates and administers operational and budget procedures for department. 
  • Implements team member safety and service training and responsibilities for assigned areas. 
  • Implements an energy conservation and awareness program. 
  • Develops and applies Preventive Maintenance programs for all equipment. 
  • Cross-trains managerial/supervisory staff in all phases of operations. 
  • Tracks all utility and operational costs.   
  • Supports all Consultants & Contract Services and manages all construction projects
  • Works closely with Facilities and Design & Construction Department on projects over $250,000.
  • Maintains operational control over staff. 
  • Coordinates maintenance of property vehicles with Transportation. 
  • Ensures staff behavior and appearance are in compliance with established policy. 
  • Ensures that guests' problems/complaints are handled in an effective, courteous manner. 
  • Acts as a role model to other employees and always presents oneself as a credit to Caesars and encourages others to do the same. 
  • Meets the attendance guidelines of the job and adheres to regulatory, departmental and company policies.
