Job description

JOB SUMMARY:

 

Under direct supervision learns to prepare, heat and finish cooking food items and serve customers. Learns how to receive and disburse money in a food service establishment. Cleans work areas, equipment, utensils, dishes, and silverware. 

 

JOB SPECIFIC DUTIES:

Cleans work areas, equipment, utensils, dishes, and silverware
Cleans, peels, slices and trims foodstuffs using manual and electric appliances
Conducts or assists with food supply requisitions and sanitation and maintenance inspections
Receives payment for food items
Replenishes supplies of food, condiments, and equipment at steam tables and service bars
Stores food in designated containers and storage areas to prevent spoilage
Unpacks and stores supplies, raw and prepared food products

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

An equivalent combination of knowledge, education, job or intern experience, training, or certifications that provides the necessary knowledge and skills to successfully perform the job at the level listed.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: In addition to Entry Qualifications, Preferred Qualifications may be added by the agency.
