Job description

This position plays an essential role as a part of the Global Integrated Supply Chain function, optimally building bridges across functions, and delivering on Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) commitments. Success relies heavily on impactful coordination and collaboration with internal team members. This role supports our Electrical Connections segment.

WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:

  • Be the EHS segment champion who drives compliance and continuous improvement across multiple facilities and cultures.
  • Responsibility for the global coordination, alignment, harmonization, standard process sharing and communication on EHS programs.
  • Develop strategic plans in collaboration with business and functional needs; implement, monitor, analyze and report on EHS initiatives and progress.
  • Develop and apply EHS policies, tools and procedures.
  • Lead environmental processes to ensure company and regulatory requirements are met in relation to permitting obligations, discharge and emissions limits as well as hazardous/special waste management.
  • Drive environmental sustainability progress through identification and completion of projects supporting nVent 2030 sustainability targets.
  • Maintain current knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements and proactively close related gaps and deficiencies.
  • Engage key collaborators, including plant leaders and personnel, in the identification, development and implementation of EHS / programs that will positively impact the organization.
  • Lead EHS audits, inspections, investigations and reporting.
  • Implement Safety Management Systems (SMS) and Environmental Management Systems (EMS) achieving respective ISO external certifications for focus facilities.

YOU HAVE:

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Safety, Occupational Safety & Health, or related field; MBA or master's level education preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience leading safety and environmental management systems.
  • Previous experience working in a multi-site manufacturing environment with a matrix reporting structure.
  • Proven ability to influence without authority, lead change, and achieve results through cross-functional collaboration.
  • Multi-country and multi-cultural work experience preferred.
  • Ability to travel a minimum of 50% of the time, domestically and internationally.

Pay Transparency
nVent's pay scale is based on the expected range of base pay for this job and the employee's work location. Employee pay within this range will be based on a combination of factors including knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, education, and performance. Where federal, state, or local minimum wage requirements exist, employee pay will comply.
Compensation Range:

$146,300.00 - $271,700.00

Depending on the position offered, employee may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as annual incentives.
