Job description

WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:
As an Electrical Estimator at nVent Management Company, you will face the rewarding task of reviewing customer specifications and developing optimal solutions for various electrical project scopes. You will create accurate cost estimates aligned with customer needs and coordinate with vendors to obtain quotes for major buyout equipment, guaranteeing a seamless and efficient proposal.
  • Review customer electrical specifications to determine job scope.
  • Estimate costs for the electrical job scope.
  • Build initial electrical specifications.
  • Provide technical expertise to the sales department.
  • Maintain master electrical BOM and/or estimating database.
  • Initiate vendor quotes and pricing for electrical components.
  • Brief Electrical Designers on job scope when turned into an order.
  • Determine if additional resources or equipment are needed to complete the scope successfully.

YOU HAVE:
  • Technical or Associate Degree in Engineering or Electrical-related field, preferred.
  • 2+ years experience in electrical build, installation, or estimating, preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving ability, including identifying alternative solutions in a collaborative manner.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage your own workload and coordinate estimating project timelines.
  • Ability to read and interpret operational and technical documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including report writing.
