What is a CAD manager?

A CAD manager is a design drafting professional that supervises the use of computer-aided design (CAD) software by a design team. A variety of industries use CAD, but you are most likely to find CAD manager positions on a mechanical or industrial engineer team. As a CAD manager, your duties revolve around supervising your staff and approving or rejecting their designs.
