Position Summary
The Warehouse & Procurement Coordinator is responsible for overseeing warehouse operations, inventory control, procurement, and telecom material planning to ensure operational readiness and inventory accuracy. This position manages warehouse processes, supervises inventory accountability, oversees procurement activities, and coordinates material availability for operations, construction, and field service teams. The role provides leadership and direction to warehouse staff and works closely with vendors, internal departments, and management to improve efficiency and control costs.

Key Responsibilities

Warehouse Oversight & Leadership

  • Provide oversight and daily coordination of warehouse operations and warehouse personnel.
  • Ensure warehouse organization, inventory accuracy, and compliance with company procedures.
  • Establish and maintain warehouse standards for receiving, storage, staging, and material handling.
  • Coordinate work assignments and priorities for warehouse staff.
  • Monitor warehouse safety, cleanliness, and operational efficiency.

Inventory Management & Accountability

  • Oversee inventory control processes and ensure system accuracy within Acumatica.
  • Monitor serialized inventory, including ONTs, routers, modems, electronics, and telecom equipment.
  • Manage cycle counts, physical inventories, reconciliations, and discrepancy investigations.
  • Establish and maintain min/max inventory levels and reorder points.
  • Analyze inventory trends and recommend stocking strategies.
  • Performs inventory audits and works with the accounting department to ensure inventory is correct.

Procurement & Vendor Management

  • Manage purchasing activities and approval processes for telecom materials, fiber, hardware, and supplies.
  • Create, review, and approve purchase orders.
  • Work with vendors on pricing, availability, lead times, and order accuracy.
  • Track open purchase orders, backorders, and vendor performance.
  • Coordinate invoice matching and receiving documentation with accounting.

Fiber Yard & Construction Material Management

  • Oversee fiber yard inventory, including reels, conduit, handholes, and bulk construction materials.
  • Track fiber footage, reel assignments, and remaining balances.
  • Input all returned cables into Acumatica.
  • Make sure all unused material is returned to PRTC.
  • Coordinate staging and delivery of materials for construction and service projects.
  • Work directly with engineering and construction personnel to forecast material needs.

Field Operations / Truck Stock Oversight

  • Oversee technician truck stock programs and inventory accountability.
  • Ensure field personnel maintain proper inventory levels.
  • Review usage trends and replenish stock as needed.
  • Conduct truck inventory audits and resolve discrepancies.

Systems & Reporting

  • Maintain inventory, procurement, and warehouse reporting through Acumatica.
  • Develop reports on inventory turns, shortages, usage trends, and procurement performance.
  • Recommend process improvements to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Assist management with budgeting and inventory forecasting.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent. College Degree preferred,
  • Experience in warehouse operations, telecom inventory, procurement, or materials management.
  • Strong experience with ERP systems (Acumatica preferred).
  • Experience with telecom inventory including fiber, ONTs, routers, and serialized equipment.
  • Strong organizational, leadership, and analytical skills.
  • Experience with vendor negotiations and purchasing processes.
