Job description

Custom Cabinetmaker / Millwork Craftsman / Furniture Builder
Experienced Woodworker – Custom Fabrication Shop

We are seeking an experienced cabinetmaker / millwork craftsman / furniture builder to join our growing custom fabrication team immediately.

This is not basic trim carpentry—we are looking for someone with strong hands-on experience building high-quality cabinetry, custom furniture, architectural millwork, retail fixtures, displays, and one-off custom projects.

Our shop combines traditional craftsmanship with advanced fabrication technology, including 4 CNC routers, 3 CNC laser systems, fiber laser marking, and CNC plasma cutting equipment. If you enjoy creating custom work and solving unique build challenges, this is the right environment.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Build and assemble custom cabinetry, casework, shelving systems, cash wraps, retail fixtures, furniture, and architectural millwork
  • Interpret shop drawings, cut lists, and production specifications
  • Work with hardwoods, sheet goods, veneers, laminates, solid surfaces, and specialty materials
  • Perform precision joinery, assembly, fitting, sanding, and finishing prep
  • Build prototypes, one-off custom pieces, and production runs
  • Assist with installation of completed projects when needed
  • Help maintain shop organization, workflow efficiency, and material inventory
  • Inspect incoming materials for quality and accuracy
  • Maintain company tools, machinery, and workspace in excellent condition
  • Collaborate with designers, production staff, and management to deliver exceptional finished products
  • Mentor less experienced team members and uphold quality standards

What We’re Looking For

  • 5+ years of experience in cabinetmaking, millwork, furniture building, or custom woodworking
  • Strong ability to read and interpret shop drawings and production plans
  • Experience with:
    • Cabinet construction
    • Face-frame and frameless cabinetry
    • Custom furniture fabrication
    • Veneer work and laminations
    • Hardware installation and fitting
    • Precision assembly and fitting
  • Skilled with woodworking machinery and power tools including:
    • Table saw
    • Sliding panel saw
    • Miter saw
    • Router
    • Edge banding equipment (preferred)
    • Sanders, joinery tools, pneumatic tools
  • CNC experience is a plus, but we are willing to train the right candidate
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in craftsmanship
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently while meeting deadlines
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs
  • Reliable transportation
  • Strong references required

Bonus Experience (Nice to Have)

  • CNC router operation/programming
  • Laser engraving/cutting
  • Metal fabrication
  • Basic electrical / low-voltage integration
  • Finishing experience (stains, clears, paint prep)
  • Installation experience
  • Spanish speaking a plus

Why Join Us

You’ll work in a highly creative custom fabrication environment where no two projects are the same. We blend craftsmanship with advanced CNC technology to build everything from luxury millwork and cabinetry to unique custom retail displays and specialty products.
