Our 16-bed Cardiovascular Intermediate Care Unit provides specialized care for patients recovering from cardiovascular surgery as well as those with complex cardiac conditions requiring close monitoring. This dynamic environment bridges the gap between intensive care and progressive care, offering nurses the opportunity to develop advanced skills in hemodynamic monitoring, arrhythmia management, and post-operative recovery.

The CVIMC team is committed toclinical excellence, collaboration, and patient-centered care. We work closely with cardiothoracic surgeons, cardiologists, and multidisciplinary partners to ensureoptimaloutcomes for every patient. ExpectationsWe'reLooking For:

  • Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing

  • Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association

About This Location:

Atrium Health Cabarrus is a 457-bed tertiary care facility serving Cabarrus, Mecklenburg, and surrounding counties. As a designated Level III Trauma Center, we provide comprehensive emergency services and a wide range of specialty medical care. We are proud to hold disease-specific certifications in Stroke, Epilepsy, Spine, Bariatrics, and Chest Pain Center care.
