Job description

Tolunay-Wong Engineers, Inc. (TWE) is one of the largest privately & minority owned geotechnical firms in the Gulf Coast. Our offices are located in Texas and Louisiana with a staff of over 350 engineers, scientists, technicians, geologists, hydrogeologists, and associated laboratory and support personnel.
TWE is seeking applicants for a CMT Project Manager position, based out of Cedar Creek, Texas. The Project Manager will administer the project assigned to you by the Department or Branch Manager. You are the primary representative of TWE throughout the project and you were expected to provide the client with the best possible service while maintaining the highest level of quality and safe work practices.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Prepare proposals using the approved formats. Each proposal will be reviewed and signed by your supervisor.
  • Obtain a Project No. from the Office or Department Administrator after providing a proposal and/or fee schedule, project data sheet, client and project contacts, accurate project name, and any other pertinent contract information.
  • Must be knowledgeable of the project plans, specifications, and other project documents, also must be familiar with the project and client personnel in order to understand the needs of each individual project.
  • Assign technicians and designated back-up technicians to all projects through mutual agreement with the dispatcher.
  • Continually meet with client and project personnel to assure the project's needs are being met by TWE and that our commitment to the project is evident.
  • Review, correct, sign and distribute reports per the project requirements, and review all project billing and invoices.
  • The Project Manager will train the technician when there are specific needs that must be met by us regarding written reports, sample frequencies, or other project specific requirements.
  • Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable as pertaining to the projects assigned to you
  • Assistance with the provision of a safe work environment for all TWE employees
  • Business development and client retention
  • Other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS
  • Able to read and write in English
  • Able to pass a background check
  • High School diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 7 years experience OR Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with minimum of 1 year experience.
  • Proficient with computers, test programs and Microsoft Office programs
  • Capacity to effectively communicate verbally and in writing and a high aptitude for math
  • Hold a Texas Driver's License and maintain a clean driving record
  • Able to lift 50lbs
  • Able to sit for long periods at a time at a desk
