The mission of Christ's Church of the Valley is to win people to Jesus Christ, train believers to become disciples, and send disciples to impact the world. The purpose of the Food and Beverage Team is to enhance CCV's ability to be a destination point for the unchurched, promote fellowship for attendees, and to support the staff in growing their ministries in the aspects of making people feel comfortable while on our campus.
A Food Service Team Pastor will facilitate the function of the overall mission of CCV within the Guest Services Department of CCV including holidays, weekdays, and weekends.
Job Description
Essential Job Functions
  • Recruit and oversee volunteers are a high priority as they are essential to Guest Services.
  • Train and monitor volunteers to keep with CCV operating standards.
  • Continual training of volunteers with proper techniques and in conjunction with Maricopa County Health regulations.
  • Operating the POS systems and handling money.
  • Make deposits
  • Equipment maintenance and cleaning
  • Maintain the appearance of the grill and its cleanliness.
  • Supporting other ministry activities as needed for church events and programming
  • Ensure that the Commitment to Excellence and Create the Plus are consistent with CCV Core Values.

Education & Experience
  • Minimum 6 months food industry experience required
  • Food Handler's Certification is necessary

  • High School diploma/equivalent
  • Catering Experience is preferred

Working Conditions
  • 5/6-hour weekend shifts: Saturday, Sunday, and Monday with time off to attend a service (extra hours are determined by events on campus)
  • 5/6-hour weekday shifts: Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday for the general public as well as staff.
  • The expectation is to work weekends and holidays
  • Standing on feet for an entire shift, excluding two fifteen-minute breaks and a lunch
  • Repetitive motions including but not limited to bending, lifting, cutting
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Extreme temperatures (hot and cold)
