Job description

Secure Communications Group is seeking an experienced CCTV/Access Control Specialist to support commercial security installations throughout the Denver, CO. Metro area. This is a 1099 contractor role ideal for a technician who is highly skilled, reliable and comfortable working independently or with another team member. Projects include CCTV and/or Access control installs, upgrades, trouble shooting, and ongoing service work.

Key Responsibilities

Install, configure and maintain CCTV systems, NVRs/DVRs/IP cameras and related hardware

Install and service access control systems, including card readers, door hardware, controllers, and power supplies

Run, terminate, and test low-voltage cabling (Cat5e, Cat6, coax, etc.

Diagnose and resolve system issues, both onsite and remotely

Perform system upgrades, replacements, and integrations

Complete job documentation, including site photos, wiring diagrams and service notes

Communicate professionally with clients and project managers

Ensure all work meets industry standards, safety requirements, and project specifications

Required Qualifications

3+ years of hands-on experience with CCTV and access control systems

Strong knowledge of IP networking, POE switches, and basic network configuration

Experience with common platforms (e.g. Hikvision, Dahua, Axis, Avigilon, Brivo, Doorking, etc

Ability to read wiring diagrams, floor plans and technical documentation

Proficiency with tools and equipment used for low-voltage installations

Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work on ladders and/or a lift

Strong troubleshooting and customer service skills

Contract Details

1099 Contractor

Pay Range: $35-45/hour

Commissions on referrals and leads

Must provide own basic tools; specialty tools may be supplied depending upon project
