A Buzzer is typically responsible for handling entry access in buildings, events, or secured areas by operating an intercom or buzzer system. They verify visitors, provide entry permissions, and ensure only authorized individuals gain access. This role is commonly found in residential buildings, offices, or event venues where controlled entry is required. Strong communication and attention to security are key aspects of the job.

The work environment is often fast-paced, requiring the ability to stay calm under pressure and maintain a welcoming demeanor. Successful Buzzers quickly learn to anticipate both guest and staff needs, making them an important part of the front-of-house team and providing opportunities to move into supervisory or host management positions as they gain experience.
