Buyer IV
Responsible for sourcing, quotation, and procurements of materials, products, services and/or equipment in support of manufacturing operations. This includes ensuring compliance with company policy and any applicable laws and regulations, providing cost savings and recommending process improvements to policies and procedures. This position will manage multiple levels of the supply chain, oversee and manage multiple purchasing projects and support the new product launches.
Compensation & Benefits:
Estimated Starting Salary Range for Buyer IV: $81,000-90,000 Pay commensurate with experience.
Full time benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, and other possible benefits as provided. Benefits are subject to change with or without notice.
Buyer IV Responsibilities Include:
  • Responsible for multiple suppliers, including negotiating terms and long-term agreements, preparing and processing quotations, requisitions and purchasing orders to ensure compliance with all policies, procedures and applicable laws and regulations.
  • Researches, identifies and cultivate sources of supply that meet all company and customer requirements for quality, submits request for quotes to approved suppliers to solicit shipment dates and prices that support production schedules and results in the best total value in company purchases.
  • Function as subject matter expert (SME) for assigned projects, services, capital assets and major expenditures.
  • Oversees multiple purchasing and strategic sourcing projects including management of vendors and sub tier vendors.
  • Develop, recommend and implement strategies for cost reduction, supplier consolidation, quality improvements and process efficiencies.
  • Revise, develop and implement new policies, procedures and strategies, as needed.
  • Perform other job related duties as assigned.

Buyer IV Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:
  • Advanced knowledge and understanding of business concepts, purchasing, knowledge of materials, production processes, quality control, resource allocation, inventory management, coordination of resources and other techniques for maximizing effectiveness and efficiencies.
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings/blue prints, technical data and related specifications.
  • Advanced skills in spreadsheets and/or databases and analytic analysis.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and multiple ERP/MRP systems.
  • Ability to exhibit supplier management knowledge, which includes second and third tier suppliers, on-site engagement, negotiation, procurement process improvement, RCCAs, line of balance and recovery.
  • Ability to demonstrate attention to detail, possess strong interpersonal, problem-solving, critical thinking and time management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to influence without authority.
  • Ability to identify extremely complex problems and review related information to develop, evaluate and implement appropriate solutions.
