Technical Buyer Location: Dover, NH Reports to: Director of Supply Chain

About Q LLC: Q LLC is a pioneering firearms design and manufacturing company known for pushing the boundaries of innovation, performance, and craftsmanship. Our team is passionate, fast-moving, and relentlessly focused on creating the best products in the industry. We're seeking a Technical Buyer who thrives in a hands-on, engineering-driven manufacturing environment.

Position Overview: The Technical Buyer will play a critical role in bridging the gap between engineering, manufacturing, and procurement. This role requires a technical understanding of machined parts, assemblies, and drawings; as well as the ability to manage supplier relationships and ensure timely, cost-effective procurement of components. You will support new product introductions, manage project plans, drive supplier performance, and help develop scalable supply chain systems as we grow.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interpret engineering drawings and specifications to support sourcing of components and materials.
  • Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to identify procurement needs and develop sourcing strategies.
  • Source, evaluate, and onboard suppliers capable of meeting performance, cost, and quality standards.
  • Create and manage project plans, timelines, and milestones, ensuring budgets and resources are optimized.
  • Support prototype builds and pre-production procurement for new product development.
  • Monitor supplier performance and work with vendors to resolve issues and improve lead times and quality.
  • Develop and manage RFQs, cost analysis, and purchase order documentation.
  • Help build and optimize systems for inventory control, demand planning, and materials flow.
  • Act as the technical point of contact for supplier communications and troubleshooting.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Applied Sciences, or a technical discipline
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience with two in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain within a manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Knowledge of technical drawings, GD&T, tolerances, and materials.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Experience with ERP systems and purchasing workflows
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Background or interest in the firearms industry is a plus, but not required.
  • Relevant software: Microsoft Excel, Teams, Word, SAP

The Company reserves the right to conduct background investigations and/or reference checks on all of its potential employees as well as a drug screening.
