The Ed Napleton Automotive Group is looking for our next Used Car Buyer/Director. This is an exciting opportunity in a growing, fast-paced industry. Located Napleton Volkswagen of Sanford, the Used Car Buyer/Director is responsible for managing all areas of the Used Car Department for Napleton Volkswagen of Sanford and Volkswagen of Orlando, including wholesale, retail, purchasing and marketing.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Purchases used vehicles online: utilizing used car sites and forecasting the needs of used vehicle inventory at the dealership.
  • Understands market trends and changes to trends in geographic market.
  • Provides guidance and support to dealership Sales Associates as it relates to purchasing used vehicles.
  • Appraises used vehicles.
  • Maintains a prospective development system of current used vehicle prospects and schedules appointments to appraise and purchase used
  • Ability to hire, train and effectively lead all used car sales associates.
  • Ability to handle and resolve customer issues or concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Ensure high standards are held for delivery of vehicles to customers.
  • Ensure that sales representatives always understand and follow dealership policies.
  • Excellent communication skills: ability to communicate effectively with customers; subordinates and other management.
  • Properly and efficiently manages reconditioning vehicles and post photos online

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5+ years of proven success as an Automotive Dealership Used Car Sales Manager/Buyer
  • Experience with internet and retail tools, V-Auto
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Previous high volume and producing high units per month preferred
  • 18+ years of age or older to comply with company driving policy
