Job description

Smoketown Meats, LLC is hiring a Meat Cutter to join our fast-paced stand at the Fairgrounds Farmers Market in Reading, PA.

This role is ideal for someone who wants to learn how to cut meat efficiently and profitably while working directly with customers on custom orders and daily purchases.

Pay: $14–$19 per hour (based on experience)

What You’ll Do:

  • Cut and prepare meats for retail display and custom orders using knives, and various other equipment
  • Learn techniques to maximize yield and minimize waste
  • Assist customers with orders, recommendations, and custom cuts
  • Maintain clean, organized cases and follow food safety standards

What We’re Looking For:

  • Butcher or meat cutting experience preferred (will train the right person)
  • Strong work ethic and ability to move quickly in a busy environment
