About the team: The E-commerce Strategy team for TikTok Shop plays a critical role in setting direction and accelerating growth of the US market. The team operates at the center of global strategy planning, research and analysis, partnering closely with regional and industry leaders to identify market opportunity, determine operation directions and set key team targets. We are looking for a highly analytical and strategic thinker to partner with a fast-growing global e-commerce business. This role sits at the intersection of strategy, data, and operations, and will play a key role in driving business growth through insights and execution. Responsibilities: Business Planning & Performance Tracking: - Participate in planning short-, medium-, and long-term scale and revenue targets for international e-commerce operations. - Assist in building the business metric system, formulating target breakdown and tracking mechanisms, identifying key issues during operations, and proposing improvement suggestions to support business reviews and operational decision-making. Market Research & Strategy Optimization: - Combine market environment, industry trends, and business development characteristics to conduct market segmentation research and ad-hoc analysis. - Identify key tracks and growth opportunities to support business strategy optimization and resource allocation. Business Diagnosis & Problem Solving: - Develop a deep understanding of business logic and operational pipelines, proactively identify business pain points, and conduct ad-hoc analyses focusing on merchant growth, traffic conversion, and user behavior. - Unearth the business drivers behind data, deliver actionable short-, medium-, and long-term solutions, and assist the business in driving efficiency and revenue growth. Framework Optimization: - Continuously optimize analytical frameworks, metric definitions, and insight mechanisms based on the business development stage and operational status, enhancing the efficiency of business analysis in supporting strategic decisions and execution. Cross-functional Collaboration & Project Management: - Deeply participate in communication and coordination for key cross-departmental and cross-regional projects. - Help drive consensus, organize meetings, track action items, and ensure project execution, translating strategic insights into practical business solutions.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: - Individuals who are completing or have recently completed a MBA degree. - Fluent in English as a working language, with strong listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills to support efficient cross-border and cross-regional collaboration. - Strong proficiency in SQL; - Strong data sensitivity, business acumen, and structured thinking, with the ability to identify key issues from complex business signals and datasets and form independent judgments. - Excellent learning ability, logical thinking, and communication skills, with an international perspective, strong ownership, and the ability to proactively drive work execution in a complex environment. Preferred Qualifications: - Internship or project experience in consulting, PE/VC, e-commerce platforms, business analysis, strategy and operations, or data analytics. - Strong interest to AI technologies and their applications in strategic research, business analysis, and business management. Proactive in utilizing AI tools to improve efficiency in information synthesis, data analysis, insight extraction, and solution output, with the ability to independently judge and validate results. - Experience with Python or other analytical tools is a plus.

[For Pay Transparency]Compensation Description (Annually)
The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $102600 - $143640 annually.
Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
Benefits may vary depending on the nature of employment and the country work location. Employees have day one access to medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) savings plan with company match, paid parental leave, short-term and long-term disability coverage, life insurance, wellbeing benefits, among others. Employees also receive 10 paid holidays per year, 10 paid sick days per year and 17 days of Paid Personal Time (prorated upon hire with increasing accruals by tenure).
