About the Role

You will have the opportunity to flex skills as a general manager across credit, operations, and technology in a critical area of our business that is responsible for delivering over $1B in revenue, that is poised to lead a revolution in technology-led risk management and meaningfully invest in our customer agenda, with the right leadership in place.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Strategic leadership: Develop business strategies that will drive growth, profitability, and customer success for Capital One in the face of shifting consumer and regulatory behavior. A proven track record of decision making and problem solving based on analytics. The passion to ensure our terms are mission aligned and unassailable in the market.

  • Technology & process ownership: Have an ownership mindset, and strategic planning with a 6-24 month horizon. Develop and implement enhancements in our technology capabilities to lead the enterprise in risk management. You should be able to drive a roadmap of continuous improvement while ensuring critical business processes continue to be invested in through PDCAs.

  • People leadership: Manage and develop a cross functional team of analysts, process managers and product. Coaching and mentoring associates throughout the organization with a goal of developing and retaining talent at Capital One. Ability to build and leverage the capabilities of a high-performing team, as well as business partners across the enterprise. You should foster innovation, drive critical decisions, hold business partners accountable, and be able to consistently deliver results.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of leading analytical, process and product teams

  • 5+ years of leading a cross functional team of 8+ reports

  • 5+ years of experience working in an Agile environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience

  • A deep understanding of product economics and PNL experience

  • High level of intellectual curiosity and comfort with ambiguity

  • Can collaboratively drive teams and stakeholders with disparate goals

  • Able to present to executive management often and in a compelling manner on key KPIs and results
