The Position
The Commercial Lines Senior Account Manager is responsible for developing and sustaining strong relationships with existing clients, and may at times, generate new business revenue. This position works in conjunction with Producers, Account Executives, and/or Account Managers on a full range of client services by providing prompt, accurate and courteous service to Clients and other company personnel. This position generally is responsible for the defined essential functions and basic duties on the company's largest and most complex commercial lines accounts.

Requirements
What is Needed:
  • Services Commercial Lines accounts as assigned and aids in collections in accordance with agency policies, procedures and service standards..
  • Supports large and complex commercial lines clients.
  • Review all insurance applications, policies, endorsements, cancellations, and audits for accuracy.
  • Maintain detailed documentation for all client transactions.
  • Investigate matters of significance for clients using independent judgment and discretion.
  • Manage and facilitate full renewal process for assigned clients including preparation of applications to insurance carriers, negotiation with underwriters, review and comparison of insurance carrier quotes and preparation of proposals for clients.
  • Assist Sales Executive in identifying new business opportunities by adding new lines of coverage and recommending value added services to our clients.
  • Requesting referrals and cultivating relationships with new customers.
  • Supervising, leading, or mentoring Account Managers and/or Account Assistants.

Qualifications Needed:
  • Advanced level knowledge of commercial insurance coverage and products is essential.
  • Minimum 5 years' Commercial Lines middle market account management experience with a broker is required.
  • Active Property & Casualty insurance license required
  • Requires certification as a Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC), Certified Risk Manager (CRM), Construction Risk and Insurance Specialist (CRIS), or a similar insurance designation.
  • We prefer, but do not require a Bachelor's Degree in Business, Risk Management, Insurance, or other related field.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy, working with specific deadlines.
  • Skilled in producing strong written and verbal communication.
