What is business restructuring?

Business restructuring refers to the process of reorganizing a company's structure, operations, or finances to improve efficiency, address financial challenges, or adapt to new market conditions. This can involve activities such as mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, cost-cutting, or debt restructuring. The goal is typically to enhance the company's performance, competitiveness, and long-term viability. Business restructuring can be initiated proactively or as a response to financial distress. The process often requires careful planning and consultation with legal, financial, and operational experts.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in business restructuring, and why are they important?

To thrive in Business Restructuring, you need strong financial analysis, strategic planning, and project management skills, often supported by a degree in finance, accounting, or business and relevant certifications like CPA or CFA. Familiarity with financial modeling tools, restructuring software, and insolvency frameworks is typically required. Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities are vital for collaborating with stakeholders and managing complex change. These skills ensure effective turnaround strategies, minimize risk, and drive successful organizational transformation during challenging periods.

Does business restructuring pay well?

Business restructuring professionals, such as consultants or managers, typically earn competitive salaries that vary based on experience, location, and company size. Senior roles or those with specialized skills in financial analysis and change management tend to have higher compensation, often including bonuses and benefits. Overall, it is considered a well-paying field within corporate finance and management sectors.

While both roles require strong analytical skills, Business Restructuring often involves strategic planning and financial expertise, whereas Business Analysts focus on process optimization and data analysis.

What are some common challenges faced by professionals in business restructuring roles, and how can they be addressed?

Professionals in Business Restructuring often encounter challenges such as managing stakeholder expectations, navigating tight timelines, and handling sensitive financial or operational information. Successfully addressing these challenges requires strong communication skills, adaptability, and a solid understanding of financial analysis and change management. Job description

Member Growth & Renewal Advisor
Department: Membership
Employment Type: Full Time
Location: Las Vegas Office
Description
About LegalMatch
LegalMatch is a leading online legal matching service that connects consumers and businesses with attorneys who are ready to help. Our attorney members rely on LegalMatch to grow their practices, manage opportunities, and build long-term value from their membership.
We are looking for a motivated, consultative, and revenue-driven professional to join our team as a Member Growth & Renewal Advisor. This full-time role is focused on renewing current attorney members, identifying early renewal opportunities, upgrading accounts, and helping reduce churn through thoughtful account strategy.
Please note that this position is 100% in-office located in Las Vegas, NV.
About the Role
This is not a passive customer service role. It is a high-impact, phone-heavy position for someone who enjoys building relationships, solving business problems, and driving revenue.
The Member Growth & Renewal Advisor will work with existing LegalMatch attorney members to understand their account performance, business goals, satisfaction level, and future growth opportunities. The primary responsibility is to drive renewals, early renewals, upgrades, and strategic deal restructures that help retain and grow member relationships.
Although each account has a dedicated Account Manager, this role requires a strong account management mindset. You will need to understand the member's full history, current package, usage, performance, pain points, and likelihood of renewal. In some cases, that may mean recommending an upgrade. In others, it may mean helping structure a deal that preserves the relationship and reduces churn risk.
Key Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
• Manage a portfolio of current LegalMatch members with upcoming renewal opportunities.
• Drive standard renewals, early renewals, upgrades, and expanded membership packages.
• Proactively contact attorney members by phone, email, and other communication channels.
• Review account history, membership details, performance trends, member feedback, and churn risk indicators.
• Partner with Account Managers to understand account context and coordinate member strategy.
• Identify accounts that may benefit from restructuring, revised terms, package adjustments, or other retention-focused solutions.
• Present renewal and upgrade options in a clear, consultative, and persuasive manner.
• Handle objections related to performance, pricing, value, timing, and competitive alternatives.
• Maintain accurate notes, pipeline updates, renewal forecasts, and activity tracking.
• Work cross-functionally with Sales, Account Management, Operations, and Leadership to improve renewal outcomes.
• Consistently meet or exceed renewal, upgrade, early renewal, and revenue targets.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
What We Are Looking For
• Previous experience in renewals, account management, customer success, inside sales, retention sales, or a similar revenue-focused role.
• Strong phone presence and comfort making a high volume of outbound calls.
• Ability to have consultative business conversations with professionals.
• Strong objection-handling, negotiation, and follow-up skills.
• Ability to identify account risk and recommend practical solutions.
• Comfort discussing pricing, value, ROI, contract terms, and membership performance.
• Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage a renewal pipeline.
• Competitive, goal-oriented, and motivated by revenue achievement.
• Professional communication style with the ability to build trust quickly.
Benefits
Compensation
This is a full-time position with a base salary plus commissions. Estimated first-year total compensation is $70,000 to $100,000, based on performance.
Why Join LegalMatch
This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to move beyond basic account management or customer service and into a more strategic revenue role. You will be working with an established base of attorney members, helping them get long-term value from LegalMatch while directly contributing to company growth.
The role offers a strong mix of relationship management, sales strategy, negotiation, and revenue ownership. For someone who is motivated, professional, and comfortable on the phone, this is a position with significant impact and earning potential.

If you are a strong communicator who enjoys working with existing customers, uncovering opportunities, solving account challenges, and driving revenue, we would like to hear from you.
