Job Summary:
Orion180 is a company dedicated to delivering exceptional insurance experiences through innovative technology and customer service. They are seeking a Delivery Project Manager to coordinate cross-functional launches and manage high-impact projects across various business operations. This role involves stakeholder management, risk tracking, and ensuring compliance with regulatory deadlines.
Responsibilities:
• Lead coordination across I&T value streams, Product, Sales, Compliance, Operations, and other business functions for launches and strategic initiatives.
• Build launch plans with milestones, dependencies, go-live criteria, and business readiness activities. Drive alignment across all workstreams to the launch date.
• Serve as the single point of coordination for all stakeholders involved in the initiative. Manage communications, status reporting, and escalations.
• Identify, track, and mitigate risks and issues. Escalate blockers that cannot be resolved at the project level.
• For compliance-driven projects, coordinate with legal and compliance teams to meet regulatory deadlines. Track filing dates, effective dates, and approval milestones.
• Manage project timelines, track progress against milestones, and adjust plans as needed. Keep business stakeholders informed on delivery status.
• Track delivery effort and costs against project estimates, maintain forecasts, and surface variances with clear options and impacts. Future state may include tracking against allocated project budget pools as those mechanics are defined.
• Run cross-functional launch retrospectives after go-live. Document lessons learned and action items for future initiatives.
• Confirm I&T workstreams within the project follow the 9-stage delivery flow. Maintain the stage gate plan for each initiative, validate entry and exit criteria, facilitate gate reviews, document decisions, and escalate when a gate is at risk. Coordinate with Delivery Leads on sprint alignment and release planning.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelor's degree in business, Information Systems, or related field.
• Demonstrated experience managing cross-functional projects that span technology and business operations.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills at all organizational levels.
• Proficiency in project management tools (Azure DevOps, Planview, Smartsheet, or similar).
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent workstreams.
• Understanding of Agile delivery frameworks and how project management integrates with Agile execution.
• Minimum 6+ years in project management, program management, or launch coordination roles for Sr Project Manager.
• Minimum 3+ years in project management, program coordination, or launch coordination roles for Project Manager.
Preferred:
• Experience with insurance product launches, regulatory implementations, or state expansions is strongly preferred.
• PMP, CAPM, or similar project management certification preferred.
