AWS Specialist and Partners (ASP) Planning & Business Operations is seeking a Senior Planning Lead to run the annual planning mechanism for the Amazon Partner Organization, including territory and quota planning across process, policy, and tooling. A critical focus of this role is building a planning mechanism to onboard Amazon Partner teams to central planning, including hierarchy tooling, territory tooling, and supporting process, policy and enablement.
This is a highly visible role with significant impact in the AWS Partner Org. Key stakeholders include the Partner Leadership Team, Partner Management, Finance, and Business Operations.
Key Job Responsibilities
Planning & Execution
Run the annual planning mechanism for the Amazon Partner Organization, covering territory and quota planning, process, policy, and tooling, and drive the onboarding of Partner teams to central planning tools including hierarchy and territory tooling.
Define and maintain the annual planning calendar, coordinating milestones across Partner Leadership, Finance, and central planning teams.
Develop and refine territory and quota allocation methodologies, ensuring alignment with business growth objectives and partner maturity stages.
Build scalable reporting and analytics to track planning cycle progress, identify gaps, and surface recommendations to leadership.
Stakeholder & Cross-Functional
Serve as the primary point of contact between Partner teams and central planning tool owners, translating business requirements into tooling enhancements.
Drive alignment across Finance, Partner Management, and Business Operations on planning inputs, assumptions, and outputs.
Represent ASP Ops in cross-org planning forums to ensure Partner Organization needs are incorporated into enterprise-wide planning decisions.
Process & Enablement
Create and maintain documentation, training materials, and enablement resources for Partner teams adopting central planning tools.
Identify and resolve planning process bottlenecks through data analysis, stakeholder feedback, and continuous improvement cycles.
Establish governance frameworks for territory and hierarchy changes, including exception handling and escalation paths.
Guide the organization through adoption and change management for new planning tools and processes.
Data & Tooling
Own data quality and integrity across planning systems, partnering with engineering teams to resolve systemic issues.
Evaluate and recommend tooling improvements to reduce manual effort and increase planning accuracy.
Deploy AI-enabled automation (Amazon Quick, Kiro, etc.) to keep knowledge current, reduce manual upkeep, and scale access without scaling headcount.
Basic Qualifications

Key job responsibilities
We are seeking an experienced Partner Planning Operations manager to create and deliver a comprehensive and innovative segmentation and coverage plan for Consulting Partners. This role focuses on Partner Categorization, Maturity, Coverage, and Productivity analysis leveraging business intelligence tools, ML models and external data to inform the Consulting Partner Management leadership team on how to allocate resources and support for each partner, based on their stage.
The ideal candidate earns trust through performance and relationship building, thinks strategically and analytically about business challenges and has a deep analytics background. The candidate will be a self-starter with a bias towards independent problem solving, a passion for identifying and eliminating bottlenecks, and has the foresight to anticipate business needs, make trade-offs, and balance business dynamics despite constraints.
The candidate must demonstrate exceptional leadership skills as part of guiding consensus and guiding the organization through adoption and change management. Strong doc writing and the ability to influence are all essential to succeed in this role.
The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, sales strategy experience, and the ability to manage ambiguity, as well as a demonstrated ability to influence without explicit authority are key to success.
A day in the life
This role will work closely with Partner Leadership, Finance, Business Intelligence, Data Science and Business Operations teams. This role will play a pivotal role to create and improve a Standard Operating Procedure to manage partners and headcount allocation across the AWS Partner Organization for Consulting Partners. Day-to-day responsibilities will include building strong forecasting and segmentation models and providing recommendations to the senior leadership team.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 10+ years of Microsoft Excel experience

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
