At Archipelago Companies, we pride ourselves on our commitment to integrity, and we strive to create a culture of excellence in everything we do. If you are a driven and innovative individual with a passion for consumer brands, we invite you to apply for our open position and become a part of our dynamic and growing team.
About the Role:
The Tradewind Services (TWS) Senior Manager, Business Operations (temporary) role is a high-trust, high-autonomy role serving as an operational extension of the TWS President. The position is responsible for running TWS's internal leadership operations, owning strategic cross-functional projects, and managing client relationships - bringing together business operations, executive support, and strategic execution across the organization.
This is a temporary engagement covering for someone on leave, requiring a candidate who can operate independently, manage up effectively, and drive execution in a fast-paced organization.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
TWS Leadership Operations
  • Own and facilitate the weekly TWS Leadership Meeting - agenda preparation, running the 60-minute session, and driving all follow-up and action item accountability
  • Ensure consistent participation, agenda quality, and executive-ready documentation of outcomes

Management by Objectives (MBO) Process Management
  • Lead the annual TWS MBO goal-formation exercise in partnership with the President and TWS leadership team
  • Facilitate monthly check-ins to track progress, maintain momentum, and escalate risks across the quarter
  • Own and maintain the master MBO template, tracking documents, and accompanying notes

Executive Onboarding
  • Own all onboarding for VP-level roles reporting to the TWS President
  • Develop onboarding documentation including Success Profiles and Performance Acceleration Plans
  • Coordinate onboarding schedules: core introductions, department overviews, and 2-week ramp plans
  • Serve as ongoing resource and first point of contact for all TWS VPs on organizational questions

Strategic Project Ownership
  • Serve as an extension of the President on priority projects across any TWS department - sitting in on meetings, building and managing project trackers, and delivering executive-ready status updates
  • Manage escalation protocols, involving the President only when decisions require his direct input
  • Strategically convene the right stakeholders, craft thoughtful agendas, and drive follow-through

Client Relations Management
  • Serve as primary point of contact and internal liaison for all TWS clients
  • Own all inbound client inquiries and manage the business development process, including intake screening, first meetings, and executive briefings; involve the President only when a brand warrants further pursuit
  • Own all onboarding efforts when a new client is engaged
  • Maintain: client onboarding playbook, new client intake form, brand onboarding deck, and business development tracker

Requirements & Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field is required
  • 5-7 years of experience in project management, chief of staff, or operations roles in a fast-paced environment
  • Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent workstreams without close supervision
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; comfortable presenting to and communicating with senior executives
  • High discretion and professional judgment - this role operates in the office of the President
  • Experience with project tracking tools, CLM platforms, and executive calendar management a plus
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel) and familiarity with enterprise resource planning and transportation/logistics management systems.

Location & Office Structure: This is an in-office hybrid position, mandatory 4 days per week in office in Irvine, CA with the option to work from home 1 day per week. Subject to change without notice as per company guidelines.
Compensation: The salary range for this position is $111,000 to $140,000; salary is based on the experience that you bring to the position.
