About the Role

The Assistant Manager supports the overall operation of the store by helping lead daily business activities, supervising team members, and maintaining company standards. This position partners with the Store Manager to ensure the store remains safe, organized, fully stocked, and focused on delivering outstanding service.

You'll help oversee daily operations, develop employees, maintain merchandising standards, and contribute to achieving sales and operational goals while creating a positive work environment for both customers and team members.


Qualifications

To be successful in this role, candidates should meet the following qualifications:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Ability to successfully complete a criminal background check
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening
  • Previous experience in retail, customer service, or cash handling is preferred
  • Prior leadership or supervisory experience is preferred
  • Must be available to work a schedule that complements the Store Manager's schedule based on business needs
  • Willingness to travel and assist with new store openings for up to 3–6 weeks when required
  • Ability to multitask and perform effectively in a fast-paced retail environment

Primary Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional service by creating a friendly, welcoming experience for every guest.
  • Supervise and support employees during daily operations while promoting teamwork and accountability.
  • Assist the Store Manager with the execution of daily business operations and store performance goals.
  • Process customer purchases accurately using the point-of-sale system and company cash-handling procedures.
  • Maintain merchandising standards through stocking, inventory management, product rotation, and store presentation.
  • Keep the sales floor, restrooms, parking areas, and exterior grounds clean and safe in all weather conditions.
  • Participate in recruiting, onboarding, training, and coaching new team members.
  • Encourage sales growth through product knowledge, promotions, and suggestive selling techniques.
  • Follow and enforce company policies, safety standards, and operational procedures.
  • Complete required reports, operational paperwork, and administrative tasks accurately and on schedule.
  • Assist with employee scheduling, shift coverage, and daily workflow coordination.
  • Support store remodels, grand openings, transition teams, and other company initiatives as assigned.
