Job Summary:
Systems Planning and Analysis, Inc. (SPA) delivers high-impact, technical solutions to complex national security issues. The Business Intelligence Analyst will support the Global Investments and Economic Security mission by conducting economic security assessments and business intelligence analysis to protect U.S. interests.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข support the Global Investments and Economic Security mission to protect U.S. national security interests and Defense Industrial Base (DIB) equities from adversarial capital, foreign influence, and strategic risk exposure
โ€ข conduct Foreign Ownership, Control, or Influence (FOCI) and economic security due diligence assessments of risk associated with foreign investment, corporate ownership structures, and industrial base dependencies
โ€ข conduct business intelligence, economic, and threat analysis to develop analytic products
โ€ข integrate subject matter expertise and market analysis, leveraging business intelligence tools to connect large diverse data sources from government, commercial and open sources
โ€ข research and assess foreign companiesโ€™ business operations and foreign investment activity that may present national security considerations for the Department of War
โ€ข collaborate across relevant offices within the Department
Qualifications:
Required:
โ€ข Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, Business, National Security, Intelligence, or related field
โ€ข 3+ years of relevant experience conducting economic security, financial analysis, business intelligence, counterintelligence, national security, defense industry, or risk analysis
โ€ข Experience analyzing corporate structures, ownership, investment activity, or industrial base dynamics
โ€ข Ability to research complex economic topics and develop on short notice concise, informative products for senior leaders
โ€ข Ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing
โ€ข Active TS/SCI clearance
โ€ข Able to work fully onsite based on client needs
Preferred:
โ€ข Master's degree in Business, Finance, or Economics
โ€ข Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) or Specialist Certificate in Combating the Financing of Terrorism (CFT)
โ€ข Military Intelligence experience
โ€ข Mandarin language skills, specifically reading
