Business Development Manager Job Purpose:

The Business Development Manager will develop relationships within target customer to penetrate organization and open doors to new business opportunities. The Business Development Manager skills should include strategic planning, project management and have demonstrated successful negotiations. This position will be our Customer’s point of contact with introduction to all of Sanmina’s capabilities and services.

Nature of Duties:
  • Identifying opportunities in target markets for all of Sanmina’s products and services
  • Generating leads through cold calling prospective clients, or networking at trade shows
  • Developing and nurturing relationships with key customer accounts
  • Keeping up with the latest industry developments, including market positioning of corporate competitors
  • Assessing client needs and the company’s ability to meet those needs
  • Following up with new leads and referrals generated from the sales team
  • Preparing status reports on goals
  • Using customer relationship management (CRM) software, such as Hubspot, to manage interactions
Education and Experience:
  • BA or BS qualified, MBA preferred
  • Minimum of 12 years in industrial or component sales experience successfully meeting/exceeding goals and objectives
  • Knowledge of the EMS industry with background in manufacturing and a comprehensive understanding of global supply chain and OEM's manufacturing requirements
  • Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal and closing skills
  • Experience working with vast remote cross-functional teams in large matrix organizations
  • Excellent MS Office skills
  • Strong project Management skills with the ability to prioritize, multi-task and organize actions
  • Must have strong negotiation skills
  • Needs strong problem-solving skills and the ability to influence outcomes
  • Will be responsible for presenting to (internal) executive teams and conveying the status of the business and growth opportunities
  • Will work closely with Operations Management to insure goals, objectives and budgets are met.
  • Ability to travel worldwide to Sanmina’s manufacturing locations
