Job description

Commercial Business Development Representative
Position Overview
United Roofing is seeking a driven, relationship-focused Commercial Business Development Representative to help grow our commercial division across Myrtle Beach, Charleston, and surrounding South Carolina markets.
This role is responsible for creating new opportunities and building long-term relationships with property managers, HOAs, general contractors, facility managers, and commercial property owners. The primary focus is generating qualified opportunities through consistent outreach, in-person meetings, and strategic networking.
This is a high-activity, field-based role ideal for someone who is confident starting conversations, building trust, and developing a strong pipeline of commercial work.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain relationships with property managers, HOAs, apartment communities, general contractors, and commercial property owners
- Generate new opportunities through in-person visits, networking, referrals, and outreach
- Maintain a consistent schedule of daily business development activity (target: 3+ in-person visits per day)
- Introduce and position our Roof Health Report / inspection program to create long-term value for clients
- Schedule inspections, meetings, and presentations with decision-makers
- Track all activity, follow-ups, and opportunities within CRM
- Work closely with sales, estimating, and production teams to ensure smooth handoff
- Support storm response and time-sensitive opportunities when needed
Qualifications
- Experience in B2B sales, business development, construction, or a relationship-driven role preferred
- Strong communication skills and confidence in face-to-face interaction
- Self-starter with strong follow-up and organizational habits
- Comfortable with prospecting, cold outreach, and building relationships from scratch
- Experience working with property managers, HOAs, or commercial clients is a plus
- CRM experience preferred
- Valid driver's license required
